OBITUARY, HERSHEY - Harvey L. Armish, 89, of Hershey, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at the Frey Village Retirement Center, Middletown. He was born July 26, 1919, in Jacobs Creek, a son of the late Steven and Mary (Schellenberger) Armish. He was married to Martha Armish who preceded him in death on March 12, 2005. Harvey served as a captain in the Army Air Corp during World War II and earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University, Lewisburg. He retired after 42 years as a sales manager from Westinghouse Electrical Corp., Pittsburgh. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Norine Armish of Selinsgrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Phil Grimm of Hershey; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Route 422 and Lucy Avenue, Hershey, where the funeral will follow at 11. Burial with military honors will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
P.S. I have asked Ken and Donna (Harvey and Irene's children) to look through Harvey's photos. I am hoping they will turn something up for Steve and the earlier generations. Do you have an old records for Steve or Dan...any birth or marriage records perhaps? Have census records (1910, 1920) and immigration records, but don't have anything personal like that and would love to have a copy if you know how to locate or have them....
