HATTIE LAVINA ERBENTRAUT
Mrs. Ralph Erbentraut passed away at a Salina Thursday, March 9, following an illness of several weeks. Hattie Lavina Sutton, daughter of Lois and Samuel B. Sutton, was born in Oberlin, Kansas, July 12, 1894. She passed away March 9, 1939, at the age of 44 years, 7 months and 25 days.
In 1895 she came with her parents to Minneapolis, Kansas, where she lived most of her life.
She was united in marriage Dec. 27, 1909, to Ralph Gerald Erbentraut. Shortly afterwards, they established their home in Minneapolis, Kansas. To this union were born four daughters: Naomi Aulbra, (Mrs. Maurice John), Thelma Lois, (Mrs. Judson Bremerman), Florence Mable, (Mrs. Lennie Shoemaker), and Marianna, (Mrs. Bentley Boyle.)
She became a member of the Baptist church several years ago.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and four daughters; seven brothers: Roy Sutton, of Abilene, Kans.; Irving, of Wichita; Samuel Jr., of Wilmington, Calif.; Harry, Ernest and Wayne, Minneapolis; Albert of Norman, Okla.; her stepmother, Mrs. S.B. Sutton of Minneapolis; and one step-brother, Earl Lewis, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also leaves four grandchildren, four aunts and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Baptist church in charge of Rev. L.E. Daniel. Burial in Highland cemetery.
