Filomena Equi ( born 1861) who was married to Antonio Rocchicioli (born 1859) was my great-grandmother. We know that she had an older sister Maria who emigrated to brazil with husband Giovanni Marchi, younger sister Pamela, younger sister Assunta (moved to Milwaukee?), younger sister Emma, married to Raffaelo Marchi brother of Maria's husband Giovannie who settled in Detroit, and a brother, only son Cesare who also moved to Milwaukee,
Upon entry the Rocchiccioli surname was apparently deemed "Rochelle." Filomena came over with her infant son Albert, daughter Mary (1886) was born in Philadelphia, daughter Bridget (who changed her name to Beatrice) was born in Providence RI (1888), sons Walter and Frederick and daughter Ruth were born in Concord NH where the family ran a market. About 1910 the family movef to Nashua NH and bought The Boston Fruit Store.
Beatrice who married Frank Arnold in 1914 was my grandmother. She and her family lived in the house next door to Antonio and Filomena. Beatrice and Frank had 4 children, among them my father, the eldest son, Dexter. I have a brother and 2 children of my own.
