Two of my gr gr gr grandparents were John Ephlin and Lucinda Hendershott Ephlin, both Pennsylvania natives.

Their daughter, Samantha was born 1834 and grew up in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

Any information of the Ephlin [Eflin] or Hendershott [Hendershot] families of Pennsylvania would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I might be on the same path as you.

My mother's last name is Ephlin and was told her father was John Ephlin. She never met him. I found a John Ephlin that was born in 1921 and died in 1977 in Framingham MA. He is linked to the same people you are inquiring about. Infact he may have been named after your gr8-3rd grandparents.

My mothers full name is Mary Elizabeth Ephlin...Mary also shows up in the gr8-grandmothers lineage. So does the name Mary Elizabeth.

She was born in Framingham MA, 1955. I was born in Natick MA in 1972.

As I have looked on this website and others. These names are listed in the lineage that seems to suggest a Vincent John Ephlin moved to Framingham in thel late 1800's, from PA.

I am secretly trying to find out for my mom what her fathers family history may be. I am interested as well, but more for her.

Luckily, in today's world we may be able to fill in the gaps one way or another.

Our Ephlins were in Pennsylvania very early, at least 1840. I know very little about them. Our branch married into the McClures and moved to Minnesota about the time your Ephlins got to PA.

I don't really know anything about the family in that part of the country after 1880.

Maybe you can help me out. My Mother, Enis Marie Ephlin (birth name) was born to Norman Wilson Ephlin and Gertrude Elizabeth Keefauver in Philadelphia PA Nov 18, 1913.

Her parents were divorced when she was very young. She believes that she has a half brother my Norman. We would like to find out more information while Mother is still with us. Do you have any info on a Norman Ephlin or is family?

Sorry, I don't really know anything about the family in that part of the country after 1880. Our Ephlins married into the McClures and moved to Minnesota in the 1880s.

Good luck on your search.
