pronounciation

Could someone tell me how this is pronounced. I am looking for a relative with the last name of "Eiffleman" possibly but I haven't been able to find anything on it or that spelling anywhere. I'm wondering if the cousin has the name wrong and this may be it or close. Thanks

Kathy

As far as I've ever heard, it's said "EF-lund", though I've seen it spelled so many ways I can't even remember all of them to write here. Here are a few:

Ifflandt, Iffelandt, Eveland, Evland, Ephlin, Ephland, Efland, Eflin, Eafland, Efland, Eafler, Eaflet, Yslant, Efflin, Effland

Thanks for all the different spellings. This has been one of the hardest names to try and look up. I'm just grabbing at anything I can. Thanks.

We have always pronounced it with a long E. As in EE-phland.
