Hope to hear from you soon. please reply to EpesFR@aol.com

Looking for anyone who has a copy of the book "Ancestors and Descendants of Francis Epes I of Virginia", by John Frederick Dorman. On page 206 he has some information on "James Abbington" which I am in need of. I thought that James Abbington was born in Bertie County, North Carolina but he shows that he moved there about 1753. I'm trying to find James Abbington's parents and where he came from. Please email me at dga99@hotmail.com if anyone has access to the book.

If this is still available, I would be interested in getting the vols so far published. I've traced by ancestry back to John Eps, ca 1480 and would like to know more about the family line.

thank you,

I am researching the Epps family in Blackstone, Virginia also. I think that my family's name started with the spelling "Epes" and later changed to EPPS. I have not been able to confirm this yet, but I am going to keep searching until I do. My great-grandfather was Archie or Archer Epps or Epes (both spellings were used. He had 12 brothers and sisters (some of their names were Samuel, Gilbert, Freeman). He was married to Susie Epps or Epes.

Please let me know if you have any information which can help me.

Thanks.
