Epes in Nottaway Co. Virginia
Looking for information on the Epes family line from Nottawy County, Blackstone, Virginia. Other relations: Blood line: Hills, Carter, Black, (maybe Andrew Slade). Other side: Boose or Booth, Fitzgerald, etc. Any information will help. May also be related to the namesake of 'The Epes Bed Breakfast Inn, in Blackstone?

Nottoway county Epes Clan
My great grandfather was the Rev. Theodoric Pryor Epes and his wife's maiden name was Spencer. He had two sons one of whom moved to Arkansas where I now live and the other was Louis Epes and was on the Va. Supreme court in the 30's. Another name of relatives in Blackstone is Crinkley. Are you a member of the Society of Descendants of Francis Epes I?

I found a book entitled Homes of NOttoway County and it has many references to the various Epes that lived there over the years, including a photo of the descendants of Thomes Freeman Epes which included my grandfather and great uncle and their parents. My great grandfather was Theodoric Pryor Epes, a Presbyterian minister in Blackstone.

Hi, first let me say I am not an Epes..but I have an old photo/photos of the Epes clan you might be able use. I went to an estate sale and purchased several old photos1800;s-1900's On the back it says residence on woodland farm in Nottowat county Va. owned by C. D. Epes-does he belong to this clan?It is in wonderful(clear bright) shape showing the house, buggy and a gentelman at the front gate. He is trying to find his way home...I do not want anything for him, I will send him free of charge :0) I may have others you might want..Let me know Denise
