We know that Andrew Eoute came to Pa., from Alsace-Lorraine in about 1839. I have seen some other Eoute families posted, but the email addresses listed are no longer in service. I think that the Michael Eoute listed might have been of some relation. All of the Eoute's seemed to have originated in the Lycoming County Pa., area. We are looking for the origin of such an unusual name. My husband's grandfather was in Holland during WWII and he said that there were Eoute's there. Alsace-Lorraine's original ruler was from the Netherlands. Pleas contact me.
Thanks,
Cathy Eoute

I am currently researching the Michael Eoute Family my email is familyhistorian101@rochester.rr.com. I have found that in one census he was listed as being born in France and in one he was listed as being born in Germany. I have a feeling the Germany part came from his wife who was German Speaking. I would love to correspond with you on this family as I'm sure you have more information than I do for those times at this point.
