My father's name was Glenn Bailey Eoff, borne and raised in Harrison, AR. His father's name was Claude Eoff. Glenn and his father Claude were both engineer's on the railroad. Claude worked as an engineer in Harrison, AR. My father retired from Southren Pacific Rail Road, in Colton, CA. My great-aunt Flossie Eoff of Harrison, AR had extensive records of our family, but I was unable to track down those records after her death in 1987. My father Glenn B. Eoff had a brother and sister. Ronald Eoff and Lillian Ruth Eoff. Send you response to me via my e-mail adress. Thank you, Marguerite Lauderback aka Marguerite June Eoff

Years ago I corresponded with Flossie on our Eoff family.
I was in Harrison 3 or 4 years ago and while searching I got
to talking to the Clerk. Unknown to me he made a phone call and
before I left his office this delightful elderly man can in.
He ask me if I was the one researcing Eoff's. To make a long
story short, he was the brother of Flossie and he said he had
her research. He was legally blind, but could still get around
by himself. He said he would see about digging Flossie's material
out and I gave him my address, (but failed to get his)I never heard
from him and can't even say what his name was at this time.

I can look back now and see so many lost chances. I would love to exchange
information with you. I can be reached at pollymp@flash.net

From what I've heard, Flossie's research has been given to the library at Harrison, and is there for whoever wants to go through it.
Maybe if someone can go there and make copies, they could share it with the rest of us!

My James Monroe Elliott was born June 22, 1816 in Warren Co, Tn,
son of Stephen Elizabeth Elliott. My search is for the parents
Stephen. On the 1850 60 census his state of birth is listed as
NC, but on the 1870 census it is listed as SC. I have searched for
years on NC and have come to the conclusion that SC must be the
right state of birth.

They are not the same person, but where did your James M. come from
in SC? There could be a connection.
