Our youngest son is Edward James Entwistle. He is stationed in the Navy in Norfolk, Va. We9Gary Lynn Entwistle) live in Garland, TX. Gary's father (James Xavier Entwistle) was of the family born in South Boston, father being Harry Vincent born in 1880 in Rhode Island. That's as far as we go back so far. Look at the family tree at this ancestry address. There are two of us working on this: one here in Texas and another great grandchild in Ma. Hope to hear from you.

Barbara, I am a member of the family by marriage in Texas. Lyn Greaves is a member of our branch in MA. We are very interested in where our family came from before Harry Vincent Entwistle, born Rhode Island 11/4/1880. For sure, that is as far back as we can go. We feel that the names Leo and James were very frequent in the history but that's a guess. We would love to hear from you in ths regard.

I found a Richard and family in the 1920 census for Boston, MA. Are these your people? Do you have a definate immigration date--like 1873? Our patriarch, Samuel, came in 1873 but we don't know what port of entry. He settled in RI, Providence and his wife and daughter joined him in 1879. Was your Richard's wife's name Emma? If so, there were in Boston in 1910. Good hunting.
