My Grandmother was Housekeeper for a lady who owned Mrs. Twistles flour, I was quite young at the time so I think about 1943 or so. I remember visiting her more than once, when the lady was away, I remember the house, being shown the main bedroom, which had a tiger skin directly over the bed, with the head pointing down to the bed, looked vary scary for a young child. I also remember lovely gardens, particularly with roses, and the gardener sometimes cut some for me. The house was on Chapeltown Road, I lived in Bolton until 1970 and regularly visit. I thought this information could be of interest.
