Robert J. Entwisle, age 75, of North Canton died Thursday morning, November 24, 2005 in his home. He was born July 22, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Helen (Maughan) Entwisle. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and The University of Akron. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the North Canton Elks and Faith United Methodist Church. He retired from The Hoover Company where he had worked as an electrical engineer in development. As an advocate of the Alzheimer’s Association, he testified before the U.S. House of Representatives requesting research funding. His kind ways and gentle soul will be remembered by all who knew him. A great listener, he was always there for his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Entwisle and sister, Audrey Ferguson. Survived by his wife, Alice W. Entwisle, of the home; children, Margaret (Nick) Gusman of Huber Heights, OH, Elizabeth (Carl) Larrivee of Wilmington, DE; step-children John Woodruff of Canal Fulton, Catherine Woodruff of Cleveland; grandchildren, Amanda Long, John Woodruff, Jessica Woodruff and Nicole Woodruff Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin and JoAnn Entwisle of Lockport, IL; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Entwisle of Yuma, AZ. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2005 at 1:00pm in the Karlo & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Buchanan officiating. Burial in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. John Schuster for his many years of care and compassion.
