I found this online I saw some people posting about the Enloes being of Scottish decent as well as from the Netherlands. I thought this might help someone.
From a book entitled: Marriage Records of the Scottish Military in Netherland 1574-1685, or DE HUWELIJKSINTEKENINGEN VAN SCHOTSE MILITAIREN IN NEDERLAND 1574-1665, I see this entry: Joris Kindloson, taboer onder Capt. Bethun, tr. 27 juni 1626 (endertr in maart) Fijtgen Henricks, wed. van Mathijs Bosman, won aan de Blitzmark.
Joris Kindloson was a Scottish solder, a drummer, stationed in Holland. He served uner Capt. Bethun. He married a Dutch girl named Fijtgen Hendricks, 27 June 1626.
Another Scottish Enloe, Joseph Enlowe sailed on the Ark or the Dove, from Leith, Scotland about 1633 to Maryland.
An English name book gives this meaning of Enloe: "Dweller on the hill."
