Enoch Alexander married Celia Hatton and had 4 sons and one daughter. I am trying to find out who my ggparents were, I know that great gran ran the Cross Keys at Ashmore lake nr Wolverhampton (any ideas on how to find out when and what name?)and that My grandad lived in a terraced house there for a while until they moved to Webster Road in Willenhall.Granded had two brothers Edward and we think Arthur and a sister whose name I do not know how to spell but sounds like Surena (Serena perhaps?)Gran Hatton had Sisters, May, Ethel (lived at Featherstone) = redhaired married a red haired man and had 2? red haired children,Brothers, John,Tom, Charlie, Bernard. Any news or knowledge on any of these would be most welcome.
On my mothers side she was Olga Daffern , her mothers maiden name was Lillian Evans and I know that she (Lillian) had several brothers. Mother recals staying with relatives of her mother in Coventry for a couple of years as her mother died of TB? when she was 2 and grandad remarried.
My mother had a sister Catherine who died giving birth to twins of which one survived and the father took it away never to be heard of again and I know my mother would love to know what became of that child as they had the care of her for a while and Catherines husband was in my mothers words a bad lot. When I get hold of my mother again I will post up more as to who Catherine Married and the full name of grandad Daffern (who fought in the 1st world war and got gassed for his pains and never fully recovered.)
