William F. English, 77, of Peters Township, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Fender) English; loving father of Donna (James) Jozefowicz, of Chicago, Ill., David (Deborah) English, of Mt. Lebanon, Ronald (Shely) English, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Susan English, of Bridgeville; grandfather of Jill and Lindsey Jozefowicz, Meghan, William "Ted", Tanner and Jacob English; brother of Emily Chidlow and the late Sally Wayne; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. English was a member of AIA. He was the retired president of Valentour, English, Bodnar, and Howell Architectural Firm and former president of the Pittsburgh Builders Exchange. Bill was on the planning board for the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall. He was also a member of Valley Brook Country Club and Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall, 300 Beechwood Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106.
