I am looking for information regarding my gg grandfather, Aron Engblom (1860-1921), son of Jakob and Anna Katarina Anundsson of Trehörningsjö, Vasternorrlands, Sweden.
All of the other children in the family have either the family name of Jakobsson or Anundsson, but I am confused as to why my gg grandfather is the only Engblom.
There is a family story that when one of my ancestors married, he had to take his wife's name as a condition of marriage and the transfer of land ownership. The problem is that we cannot find any Engbloms anywhere else in our tree so this tale seems to be a false lead. Aron's wife's name was Eva Johanna Johannsdotter (1861-1938).
My family names are verified by two independent family trees done twenty years apart and on two different continents, and further verified my research done on Ancestry... but no one has the answer to this riddle. Please help!
