Surnames: Infinger, Enfinger
Katharine, Just found you note through Ancestry.com, I have worked on my mother's side of the family for quite a while, but set it aside about a year ago, Had other things I needed to put time into, as this can be very time consuming, as you know or will find out if you continue. My grandparents were W. C. Infinger and Anna Laura (Infinger) Infinger from Freeport, Walton County, FL. When they moved after 1915 to Chumucklia, Santa Rosa County, FL. They were on the census as Enfinger. If you and your sister would like to contact me at a later date, I will try to help see where our lines meet. I am pretty sure we all came from Johnathan George Infinger (spellings change over years) who came from Germany to South Carolina.
My quick run down on both my grandparents..
Johnathan George Infinger & Catherine (Unknown) had John Infinger about 1730-D abt.1795
John Infinger (1730-1795) & Barbara (unknown) had Conrad Cornelius Infinger abt 1760-D1840
Conrad Cornelius Infinger (1760-1840) & Mary A. Mitchum had Nicholas Infinger bet.1798/1803
Nicholas Infinger(B between 1798/1803?-D 1865) &Mary Ann (Unknown) had Charles Edward
Charles Edward (B1882-D1881) & Elizabeth Evans had Anna Laura Infinger (B.1873-D1956)
Annie Laura Infinger (my grandmother)

Now we repeat some of the line here.
Johnathan George Infinger & Katherine Unknown had John Infinger
John Infinger and Barbara Unknown had Conrad Cornelius Infinger
Conrad Cornelius & Mary A. Mitchum had Peter Infinger B.1788-D.1837
Peter Infinger & Rebecca (Unknown) had George Washington Infinger (abt 1820 -D abt 1862
George W. Infinger & Mariah Padgett had William Frederick Infinger B.abt 1845-D. abt 1918
William F. Infinger & Catherine Langford had William C (W.C.) Infinger 1869-D1946

Annie Laura and W.C. married in 1892 in Walton County, FL had their family there then moved to Santa Rosa County, FL after their youngest daughter Evelyn was born in 1915. All but 2 of their (older) children moved with them and have all lived and died in the area. I have other info as well but just don't have it to memory as there is one heck of a lot of Infinger/Enfinger/Emfinger's Spelling also depends some on where located. Mississippi and Texas and some in Louisiana spell their last name Emfinger..
You can reach me at sd.kust@att.net, but I can tell you that it might be a little while before I can sit down and try to help backtrack . At the moment most of my work is in storage, but I am working on getting everything back in order and getting it back in my possession here at home.
