I think I have responded to many posting today. It was amazing to goggle myself and find out all this family information. I was born an Enbysk. My father was William Irvin Enbysk, born to Irvin Benjamin Enbysk and Mary Elizabeth White on 12/08/1950. If you would like any other information please email me. hfranks_08@comcast.net

Hello,

I'm an Enbuska too and I live in Finland (In Lappland and the village is Pello). My fathers fathers fathers fathers fathers fathers name was Johan Dynits Enbuske ( 1761-1840) and his wifes name was Greta Johanintytär Karvonen (1763-1846). I think all the Enbuskes/Enbuskas/Enbusks/Enbysks in the world are coming after these roots.

Hello,

We corresponded before. Hope you are doing well. I was just reading some older messages and noticed a discrepancy. You listed Johan Persson Enbysk's birthplace as Nedre-Tornia parish, Finland. Alicia K. Marshall posted the 1900 Census (Posted: 13 Mar 2006 on this thread)and Peter Kristian Enbysk lists his father as being born in Sweden. I think that Johann Persson Enbysk was Peter Enbysk's father. Do you have an idea of how the apparent difference in birthplace came about?

Hi Rick,

Most documents have said Finland.

Census information is taken as a "secondary" source because we really don't know who gave the information, could have been a neighbor.

Most signs point to Finland!

That helps. I didn't assume one report was wrong, as sometimes territories change hands, etc. But it looks like I can keep the information as I had it from you before. Thanks!
