There is a lot of information on the Emmons family online. My cousins Renee and Connie have done a lot of research. If you Google Emmons Renee Schaeffer, you'll find the information. Also, Google Emmons Connie Berry. I think the oldest Emmons is Joseph Emmons and he had two sons: William and James. I descend from James who had one son, James, Jr. who died in Fauquier, VA in 1839. William also had a son named James and that is the James who was in the Revolutionary War.
