My father's last name is Emick, and his father was William J Emick (originally Emig) of Springfield, Ill - born 1899, died ? He also had a son William Emick in 1927 who now lives in Dayton.

I'm not sure if you can see it, it should be public - You can check my tree at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/41964327/family

I keep the post up as I know he has other children, in case they are looking for him too. Thanks for the response!

am trying to find information on Philip Emick, who is listed as living in Columbiana County, Ohio in the 1820 and 1830 census. Research done by others indicates he was born in York Co, PA around 1755/1760, and was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Would like to find out if he had children, and if so, what their names and birthdates are.

Most definitely. William Edward is my wife's grandfather. We, too, have information on William Edward's parents and siblings. However, we have a reasonable suspicion that the family of Michael and Sarah Amick in Licking County from 1850-1880 is the right family.

One of my grandfather's (John A. Emick) brothers was William Edward Emick. I think this family lived in Columbus, Ohio, but since my grandparents moved to Upper Sandusky, our family has lived there. I have found very little about OUR Emicks beyond my grandfather's siblings and the name of my great grandparents, although one Web site gave me the impression that William E. Emick may have moved to California. Do these sound like your wife's Emicks?
