Chris, I would live to share with you if you are at all interested in the "other" branches of the tree, so as to speak. In return I'd like data on the Emahisers. I understand that there is possibly a book that has it all in it. I remember as a tike going to an Emahiser family reunion. Btw, my grandmother was Blanche Marie Emahiser, and is buried in the Fostoria cemetery. Any correspondence on the Emahisers would be gladly accepted. My email is ostiles@cncnet.com

My Grandfather was Dexter Ashley Emahiser, born in 1901 and died in 1983. He was one of 13 brothers and sisters from the northern Ohio area. He married Alice Vanden Bushe in 1923. Children are Robert Neal (deceased) and Maxine (Price). Grandchildren include Constance Diane Price/Reeb, Mark Douglas (deceased 1970) and Joan Alison Emahiser. From what I remember the large farm near Macomb was lost in the great depression.

Great Grandma Emahiser's maiden name was McMaster, if that helps. I remember Dad saying that she had a passion for choclate covered cherries.

Charles Emahiser (Uncle Charley) was one of Grandpa's younger brothers.

There is a book that was being researched and published by one of the aunts, but I can't remember which one. I'll check with Aunt Maxine and see if she remembers.

Hope this information helps.

Joanie

We are researching all spellings of the Emehizer, Emahiser and so forth. We have Dexter Ashley Emahiser listed in our files. We show Dexter being born April 19, 1901 died Oct. 29, 1983 in Taylor, Wayne Co., MI. He was married to Alice Marie Van
Dembussache August 1925. Dexter's parents were Clifton Burr Emahiser and Charity Ellen McMasters. If this is your line of the family would you be able to fill in the descendants of Dexter Charity for us. We are interested in learning the wives maiden names also along with dates of birth, death and marriages. We have a rather large file on the all spellings of the family and are willing to share the information. Please contact us at: sewe@penn.com
Thank you.
