Well as you can see I am an Emahiser. I currently live in Waterville Ohio, but spent most of my life in Toledo Ohio. I was born in Toledo in 1944. I have three sons and a daughter: Robert Thomas 32, Donald Craig 30, Jenifer Dee 21 and Matthew Joseph 3.

My fathers name was Donald Leroy Emahiser - was born in Toledo, Oh July 21,1922 and died in August of 1988.

My Grandfather was Emmett Leroy Emahiser. Gramps died in 1972 I believe he was born in 1889 but I am not positive. Will have top look it up later. I am not sure where he was born but I do know that he spent most of his youth in a small towm called Malinta, Ohio. There still are quite a few Emahiser's in the Malinta - Napoleon Ohio area.

I have two brothers: Craig V. 50 years old and Kevin Donald 38 years old. Both are living within a few miles of me.

My grandfather came from a pretty good size family so I understand but that's about all I know. I have met a couple of his brothers and sisters over the years but it was a long time ago and I don't recall their names right now. We had a few reunions early in my
adult life - but that was at least 30 years ago and unfortunately I don't remember too many people.

I have met a cousin named Jim Emahiser who is my age and lived in Toledo. I know of an Uncle Clyde Emahiser. That's about all at the moment - maybe more as I go on.

Hope this helps us. Would like to find out when and how the Emahisers got to this country. As I recall my Grandfather did say (or I think he did) that his father or grandfather came from Germany.

Well all we need to do is fill in the blanks

Tom Emahiser

Contact Wayne Sherry at sewe@penn.com. They have over 10,000 names in their database of the family since Adam emigrated from Palatine in the 1740's. We have to all be related somehow no matter the spelling.

We have a file with over 17,000 individuals with all spellings of the Emehizer's. (I use our spelling as it would take time to put the others in but we have found they are all related through Adam Immenhauser. My husband will be glad to share what he has on the family. We have been in contact with your brother Craig I believe but have not been able to link your branch of the Emahiser to the family. We need to know your Great Grandfather's name. Please contact us as we would like to learn more about your family. Thank you, Sherry Emehizer
