Hello Steve,
I am not sure if this is still a current email address or not but my family ancestry is from Mary Hemstead Keeny. Manuel Lisa's third wife.
I am doing a bit of research today and came across your post from 5 years ago... It looks like Mary (Hempstead) (Keeny) Lisa must have taken care of Rosalie Lisa Ely after she came to St. Louis because Manuel Lisa's first wife, Polly Charles Chew died in 1817.
I would think then that Mary Heampstead, better known as " Aunt Manuel", took care of step- daughter of Manuel, Rachel Chew from Polly Chew's previous marriage, And then boys from marriage of Polly and Manuel, Raymond and Christopher Lisa,

and of course Rosalie Lisa --- later married name Rosalie ( Lisa ) Ely. and also her actual son named, Christopher Keeny born in Conneticut prior to her coming to St. Louis around in 1817.

Rosalie Lisa Ely was the biological daughter of Manuel Lisa and Mitain. Mitain was the daughter of Big Elk Chief of the indian tribe called Omaha. Manuel was married to Mitain at the same time he was married to Polly Charles Chew in St. Louis ---------but that was rather common for fur traders to marry one of the tribe for trust as on of the family type thing.
Hope that helps oh and her biological brother named either Christopher or Raymond died at an early age betweem 5 and 10 years old.
