Joseph Elwell born Sept.29,1835 and Married Harriette (Hard to read writing)Slayton,born April 2, 1841. Their children were Edward, Harrison, Charlie, Hattie Josiphine, Samanthia, George, Melvin, Sumner, Joseph, Joey, Cynthia, and Ada. I do not know the heritage or where they were born. But My grandfather Melvin was from Michigan and married my grandmother Alta K. Klein in Redfield,South Dakota,and later moved to Washington state. This is all the information that I have.
