AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Funeral services will be on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Eskil Elmeer, 78, who passed away early Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center. (Feb 2015)
Eskil was born Dec. 10, 1936, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late Eskil and Alice (Anderson) Elmeer Sr.
Eskil served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He was the owner and operator of Elmeer Fencing for 40 years, retiring in 1964, and he also worked for Jo-Ann Fabrics in Boardman for five years.
Eskil was a member of the National Fence Organization.
Eskil leaves his two sisters, Janet Kovac of St. Mary’s, Kansas and Nancy Robinson of Jamestown, N.Y.; a brother, Charles Elmeer of Aloha, Oregon; and his lifelong friends, John and Vicky Bonivich of Pulaski, Pa., and Lori Quear of Austintown, OH.
Eskil was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Greta Benson, whom he married June 20, 1979, and who passed away Feb. 4, 1994; and his second wife, the former Ruth A. Partlow, whom he married Jan. 14, 1997, and who passed away March 27, 2000.
