Hi, I am Karen Perry Buterbaugh and my mother was (I think) your relative's (Jesie Simmons Eller)neice. I have the photo that is online sitting on my dresser! I always thought it was a photo of my Grandmother, Myrtle E.Simmons (Carter)who died at the age of 32 or 33.
I too am trying to collect information about both my mother and father's family.
I have connected the Simmons family with a Christiana Sanders who apparently came over from the UK. She was married to A.W. Sanders. He fought in the Civil War. That's about as far as I have gotten.
I would love to know more about the Sanders family, and who they were related to in Europe.
