My great-great-great Grandfather was Moses Elkan born August 1890 in Germany, probably Raesfeld, but we are unsure of that. He married Magdelina Michels (born 1797). They had 6 children: my great-great Grandmother Jette Elkan, born 1819 (married Abraham Schwarz born February 24, 1880), Roschen, born 1821, Sarah, born 1824, Minna born 1826, Joseph born 1829, and Mischel born 1832. I believe this family is from Westphalia, and probably around Raesfeld.
