Hi Patricia,
My furthest proven Elberson ancestor is Charles Elberson born 1816 in Vincentown, Burlington County, New Jersey. He died and is buried in Beverly, Burlington County in 1883 and his death certificate says his parent were Samuel Elberson and Johannah Scott. He married Sarah Severs around 1834 and they had three children. George, Abigail, and Samuel. My line runs through George who later moved to Wilmington, Delaware. His son William Harry who was born in Rancocas, Burlington County is my Great grandfather. William grew up in Wilmington and later moved to Philadelphia where my grandmother Myrtle was born in 1898. Myrtle is my mother's mother. Myrtle lived in Kansas City near where I grew up and I knew her well.
I would very much like to talk to you about the Elbersons. My Charles Elberson's daughter Abigail married John Wesley Letts (1837-1911) in Beverly in 1859. This suggests to me a very strong posiblity that our Elbersons are related. I have been stuck on this line for over 10 years, this is the first ray of hope in a long time. I had recently been researching Albertson of which there are many in Jersey to see if there was a name change. Early New Jersey records that I have found mention Samuel, Nicholas and Andrew Elberson but I was not able to make any connections. I would be glad to share all that I have.
