The John Elam that built my home, Westview, in western Charlotte County is a different John Elam than your g-g-grandfather and this is a different house from the one you visited. "My" John Elam had four children, three girls and a boy, none of whom had any children. They are all buried on my front lawn. Your direct line is descended from one of my John Elam's brothers but I can't tell you which one. The Elams were a prolific bunch and there is a lot of Elam info on-line (some good, some bad),so you should be able to find the correct line. Kathy
