I was just surfing around the net and found this site. Nice info here.

I unfortunately dont know my family history too far back, but here goes...

My Father was William E. Ela, born in Quincy MA. My Mother is Jeanne M. Rose-Williams from Bournemouth England.

My Grandfather was Percy(Percival?) Ela.

I hear many of you takling about Genealogies of the Ela's. I am wondering if any of you are familiar with this branch of the family?

Also, we pronounce the name EE-lah

Thought I would post this even though I'm not related.
While researching my ancestry in WI I ran across
Richard E. Ela in Rochester, WI 1860 census.
Listed as 47 and a gentleman.
Mary Eastman is listed as 63 and lady.
Household shows 11 people. Hope this post helps
