Hilda Gladys Eklof, 90, of Lewiston died December 15, 1999 at her residence.
She was born January 25, 1909 in Canada, the daughter of John and Annie (VanAlstine) Curtis. Mrs. Eklof retired from Michigan Bell Telephone as operator in 1964 after 21 years of service. She moved to Lewiston in 1964 also. She was an avid reader.
The funeral was held December 17 at Green Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Coursey officiating. Interment: Albert Township Cemetery.
Surviving are friend, Laura Render of Milford, MI; stepdaughters, Ardis (Mrs. Charles) Foust of Hartland, MI, Ellen Hill of Brighton, MI, and Linda (Mrs. W.F.) Rochester of Flint, MI; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews; many beloved friends; and beloved pups, Tippy and Spike.
She was preceded in death by her husband Knut Eklof in 1971 and longtime companion, Herbert Goodchild.
