Hello Jenny, I have traced my paternal line of 'Ekins/Ekines back to Thomas Ekines who lived in Blunham, Beds. In 1767 he married Elizabeth Moor in Blunham. In 1769, Thomas who was a carpenter, took over 'The Horseshoes' public house in Blunham, which I believe is now the only pub left there. I have a copy of the original agreement between Thomas and the Marchiness Gray when he took over. Although Thomas and Elizabeth married in Blunham I am starting to think that they were not actually born there. I have found a John Ekines from Wymington, Beds, who could possibly be Thomas's father but have got to research this some more. If any of this means something to you please get in touch. I have quite a bit of info on the 'Ekins/Ekines so if you think that I might have anything else of interest or held to you, just let me know. Whenever I am in touch with others I always hope that we have a connection, it's the same now. Hope to hear from you. Brian Ekins
