Mrs. Leola R. Ekaut
LYNN TOWNSHIP - Leola Ruth Ekaut, 65, of 14490 Yale Road, died on arrival Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1984, at Yale Community Hospital. She apparently suffered a heart attack in her home.
She was born June 19, 1918, in Port huron the only child of Henry and Pearl Kinney Mosher. She married Edward Ekaut Nov. 8, 1938, in Angola, Ind. They lived in Lynn Township since their marriage.
Mrs. Ekaut was employed as a weaver at the former Yale Woolen Mills for many years. She and her husband owned and operated a general store in Lynn Township for 25 years.
Mrs. Ekaut is survived by her husband; one son, Gene A., Detroit; one daughter, Mrs. Judy E. McKercher, Riviera, AZ; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Kaatz Funeral Home, Yale. The Rev. Dr. Gary Jamison, pastor of the Yale First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Committal services will be held in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lynn Township Cemetary.
Visiting is from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
