Lauren W. Eitle
ATTICA: Lauren W. Eitle, 91, of Attica, Ohio passed away Sunday August 5, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born December 15, 1920, in Attica, Ohio to Walter C. and Ida F. (Fritz) Eitle.
He married Alice Gurney May 11, 1941, at the Union Pisgah United Methodist Church in Attica, and she survives in Attica.
Other survivors include: a son, Jerrold (Barb) Eitle of Willard, Ohio; two daughters, Bev (George) Adams of Attica, Barb (John) Elwood of Andover, NJ; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Eitle; and two brothers, Clarence and Bill Eitle.
He was a member of the Union Pisgah United Methodist in Attica, a 1938 graduate of Attica High School, an avid woodworker, making boxes and lamps. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and keeping the road ditches mowed on his farm.
He was employed a PPG in Crestline, Ohio, in the maintance department, retiring in 1983. He had also worked at Bishop Motors in New Washington as a mechanic, and was a lifelong farmer.
Services will be at 10:30 am. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Union Pisgah United Methodist Church, 7880 S. CR. 35 Attica, with Pastor Pete Bellamy officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 South SR. 19 Bloomville.
