Simon's first wife was Catharine Luttenberger, the sister of my 2x great grandfather Carl/Charles Luttenberger. They were all from the village of Grosskarlbach in the Pfalz, aka Rhinebavaria.

On the ship Alabamian, sailing from Le Havre, France, arriving New York, 24 Jul 1840:
Simon Eimer, age 27
Catharine Eimer, age 24
Christina Eimer, age 2
Charles Luttenberger, age 40
Margaret Luttenberger, age 33
Frederick Luttenberger, age 13
Margaret Luttenberger, age 11
Charles Luttenberger, age 8 (my g grandfather)
George Washington Luttenberger, born on the ship

I don't know if Catharine Eimer made it to St. Louis with the rest. The only other mention of her is in the church record at the Old Cathedral in St. Louis when Simon (a widower) married his second wife, Anna Marie Angert on 29 Mar 1842. Christina was living with Simon and his family in Belleville, IL in 1850 but I don't find her after that.
