This letter was written by the 3rd daughter of Charles and Reva Eikelberger, who was 9 years old when she wrote it:
Minneapolis Messenger, Ottawa County, Kansas, Dec. 25, 1941, page 8:
Dear Santa Claus,
I have been a good girl this year. When you stop at my house you will find I have left something for you.
For Christmas my daddy wants a pair of overalls, size 34 and a pair of blue stocks, size 11. My mother wants anything you want to bring her. My sister Betty wants a pair of ear muffs and a pair of blue and red stocks, size 9. My sister Bonnie wants a pair of ear muffs and a pair of blue and red stocks, size 9. I want a pair of red and blue stocks, size 8 and a pair of warm house slippers, size 1 or 1 1/2. I want a very, cute dolly, and a double deck bunk bed for my dolly and, a kitchen set and Jack Frost Refrigerator, a 15 piece cabinet sink, an electric stove with 8 aluminum utensils. I want a mop, a carpet sweeper, a handle metal dust pan, and a broom and a gun like Superman uses.
