My great grandfather, Henry Ehrlich, noted on his WW II draft registration card his closest relative was a cousin Harry Ehrlich in New York. I have no idea, yet, where Harry might fit based on my current tree.
I found a web site containing poems from a Milton Ehrlich of New Jersey. Many of his poems describe his family life. I found a US Census form containing a Harry and Milton Ehrlich of New York, but cannot definitively connect Harry to anyone in the family as of yet. Harry would be of my great grandfather Henry's generation.
One of Milton's poems describes his father (Harry)'s uncle (also unknown to me) is the connection to Paul.
My ultimate goal is to simply figure out how everyone connects to my tree. Milton's poems seem to be a major key to the puzzle, but making the connection via Harry is proving a puzzle.
I am also trying to work Paul Ehrlich's tree backwards to see if I can find a path that way.
I have reviewed all the census and immigration forms I can gain access to and can validate as part of my family. I am going to get Henry's full US citizenship forms soon.
Thanks for any insight/help.
I am 43 as a data point.
