My paternal great grandfather, Henry Ehrlich, died in 1965. Visiting the cemetery in Boston, MA, his first wife, Rebecca, died January 1935, and is engraved on the same stone as her son, my grandfather, Simon Ehrlich, who died 1944. My dad, Robert, was named for this Rebecca.
Tracking down Henry Ehrlich led to his stone a nearby cemetery. Engraved on Henry's stone are both his name, and that of yet another Rebecca Ehrlich, but her death is shown as December 1, 1962.
Appears he remarried. 1940s census shows he moved in with one of his daughters. A 1952 newspaper obituary of another relative of the 1962 Rebecca shows her listed as Rebecca Ehrlich, so he remarried somewhere between 1940 and 1952.
Any insights of Rebecca Berman Ehrlich and her marriage to Henry Ehrlich (he was born in Austria and came to the US in mid/late 1890s with a couple kids with his first wife, 1935 Rebecca) would be most appreciated.
I have built out the 1962 Rebecca's family as much as possible. Seems that nobody on any end is still alive to talk to. This Rebecca's father appears to be William Berman.
I do note that I started the tree since the summer and am working all four branches at once (mom and dad's parents).
Most appreciate any insights/stories/leads of Henry Ehrlich and the 1962 Rebecca Berman (Fireman) Ehrlich. Rebecca 1962 was originally married to a Mr. Fireman. He passed away and both Henry and this new Rebecca (name coincidence?) married.
Thank you very much.
Scott Ehrlich
