Eha Family from Schömberg, Wuertenburg, Germany
I have an extensive family history database on Eha family members who are direct descendants of Josef Eha b. Abt. 1560 Nuertingen (Nürtingen), Germany and Anna Vogel b. Abt. 1564 Nuertingen (Nürtingen), Germany. There are still family members in the Schömberg area of Germany. Descendants in the United States can be found in Minnesota, Ohio, Colorado, Kansas and California. One family branch changed their name from Eha to Sha around 1869 in Minnesota so there are many Sha family members who are direct descendants of Josef and Anna Eha also. Other family names related to Ehas are Hildebrand, Lerch, Fehland, Muckenthaler, Colosky, Schmidberger, Schiebel, Faulhaber, Wuhrer, Riedlinger, Hehl, Besenfelder, Koch and Krieg. Post a reply if you want more information or if you have something to contribute to my database - thanks. Dave Petrie

I am interested in whether my lineage is attached to yours. Is your database online?

Re: Eha Family from Schömberg, Wuertenburg, Germany
Saw your posting regarding Nurtingen. My family was from there and I'm having difficulty locating both living and dead/ recent and old family roots. I was hoping, just maybe some of my names have a connection with yours and can give me a little help. Names I'm sure of are Klotz, Buchmann, Nil and maybe Aichele. Please let me know one way or another or any hints that would help me out. Buchmann/Klotz emmigrated to USA 1929, Nil remained in Nurtingen and vicinity. Thank you.

Re: Eha Family from Schömberg, Wuertenburg, Germany
Hello Werner, Sorry but none of the names you listed show up in my Eha document. The Eha family were the ones living in Nuertingen in the 16th century. You might get some ideas from the Nuertingen web page. http://www.stgt.com/extern/umland.htmGood Luck

Re: Eha Family from Schömberg, Wuertenburg, Germany
Lori and Simon,
Looking back at the thread I started four years ago, I'm not certain I ever replied to Lori's question about my Eha database being online. The answer is no it is not. My Eha family information is in a large WORD document that I can send as an email attachment. The document traces Ehas back to the 16th century. It also traces Eha descendants and associated families throughout the Uniited States to the present [Eha, Sha, Muckenthaler, Vogel, Buch (Buck, Bruch), Holzmann, Stotz, Krieg, Besenfelder , Hehl (Held or Heldin), Faulhaber]. I also have several old Eha family pictures scanned that I can send.
If either of you are interested in the document or pictures, please contact me directly at the email address you get when clicking on my name in this posting.
Simon - I would be very interested in how to access your database online. Please send that information to me as well.

Jeff, Thanks for the contact. I would be glad to share the Eha information and pictures I would collected over the years. My grandmother was an Eha. She grew up on Banfil Street in St. Paul across the street from Frank Eha and family. Contact me at dapwyn@aol.com and I can send you the information and pictures. Dave Petrie
