Eleanor J. Egnatuk, age 80, of Olivet, formerly of Albion passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at Foote Hospital, Jackson, Michigan. She was born July 29, 1927 in Albion, Michigan to Cecil G. and Ida (Sweet) Hollabaugh. On June 14, 1947 in Albion, Michigan she married George Egnatuk who preceded her in death on July 25, 1981. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a Graduate of Washington Gardner High School in 1945. She was a bookkeeper clerk for Howard Reed Furniture of Albion for 14 years. She enjoyed knitting, making Christmas stockings, gardening, reading, and her involvement in the D.A.R. she also was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, David (Mary Ann) Egnatuk of Albion and Douglas (Cindy) Egnatuk of Gillett, WY; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce (Gary) Landenberger of Albion. She was preceded in death by her husband and stepfather, Raymond Stevens. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Erie Street Chapel of J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home with the Rev. John Sterner officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
