Re: Egan Family from Offaly
I'm finding I also may be a descendant of this family, Kieran Egan and Julia Dooley, via a daughter who married before emigration. Family lore has long said there were others who went to New York and to Australia, which seems to match exactly the history of others here. Others please contact me via the message system to discuss further -- I have fairly full info on the descendants in my branch, but could use contact with someone who has become familiar with Egan entries in the nearby parish registers and particularly in Birr.

Re: Egan Family from Offaly (Birr area)
Very interesting. Do you happen to have the names of Julia's parents or any other specific information on them or the Egan family? Thank you so much.
