Very interested in the Howard Egan line from Tullemore, Kings Co, Ireland. Have found a parish listing the children from Killeagh, Kings Co, Ireland and it gives the birth dates and the names are a little different. I want to find the rest of this parish, earlier to see if they are still there. E-mail me and I will share what I have with you. Margie

Howard Egan's brother, Richard Egan 1820, is my lineage. I have just started my search and am pleasantly surprised by all the information that has been gathered thus far on the Egan family. My Aunt owns the family bible containing information eg names&dates. I would be interested in corresponding with my fellow Egans.

Hi, Nanci,
I am an Egan through my mother's line: (Inis Egan Hunter, Horace Walter Egan, Howard Ransom Egan, Major Howard Egan.) I am currently working on a master's degree in American Studies and want to write a thesis on Major Howard Egan and his family. I also want to include a list of his descendants with my research. Anything you have to contribute to that would be greatly appreciated. Would it be possible to photocopy the Bible pages that have names and dates on them? It would be an amazing addition to my work. I will send you a copy of the thesis in a few years when I get it done. Thank you.

At this time my Aunt is not in a position to permit any copying of the Egan bible. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Good luck with your thesis.

Major Howard Egan is my GGGG(?) G'pa on my Mothers side. I have been trying for years to research her side of the family but she could not remember her G'mas maiden name.
If at any time your aunt would/could make copies of the family bible I would be very very interested.
Thank you.
