Dale,
Out of curiosity, what siblings do you know of for Eugene? Thomas and Elizabeth appear to have had 13 children and I can only count for 11. My g-grandmother Annie was their youngest child, and though they spent a lot of time in Barbour County, Alabama, my g-grandmother and at least one brother (Ben) were born in Henry County. I have a Herring family reseracher in Mississippi (Chapel Elizabeth's family) and contacts in Henry County who have helped me connect the dots from afar, since I am still on the West Coast. Amazing what the internet can do.
However, if the census saying Chapel Elizabeth had 13 children is correct... there are two children that don't show up on any census and I am wondering if they might have been born in 1880 or 1881, then the 1890 censuses are missing, and might have been married by 1900 as that would make them 19 or 18 respectively. So I'm trying to get a headcount of names. None of the people helping me seem to have come across this information either.
Anyone else reading this who can help, it would be appreciated! Thank you. Posting here or private email accepted.
