My grandmother, Hulda Effenberger Roehmer, was the child of Joseph and Mary (Marie Anne?). She was born in Nebraska and then moved with her family to Oregon. It seems first to Clatsop County and then Tillamook. Her sisters were Emma and Clara. There were many brothers including Otto. I've seen the spelling of Tohl as Thoel as well. I did see the name Landwehr connected to an Anne Marie Thoel and Joseph Effenberger. I am hoping that they are connected. I hope that you are still doing this kind of research.
