I am looking for information on Stephen Eeles who lived in Banstead Surrey in the 1820s.
I have lost the trail and am searching for his place and date of birth ca. 1800. Can anyone help me?

Hi Mark,
I have just started looking for Eeles history. My family came to Australia in 1848 to Geelong. I have not been able to connect them back to England apart from possibly coming from Oxfordshire.

Eeles Family...

My mother's father's surname was Eeles. I think most of them came from the SE London/Croydon area. I don't know much about this side of my family because my grandfather, James Eeles, died in 1947 (before I was born) but I believe he was born in Camberwell.

I hope this helps, but it might be a wild goose chase!

Best wishes, Viv Pegram

Hi, not sure if you ever had a reply to this at all. One of my Eeles lines includes a Stephen Eeles born in Banstead Surrey around 1828. By 1861 he is a blacksmith. I've managed to trace one of his children, Stephen Thomas (another Blacksmith) to Ponders End, Enfield. Does any of this information sound familiar at all? If so please feel free to contact me via the above email address and I'll happily share with you what I know. Many thanks, Charlotte.
