Hi. Looking for information about Henry T. Edridge of England, then Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Don't know if he is related. "Harry" was born about 1854 in England. Parents and (first) wife unknown. He worked as a carriage maker, woodworker and carpenter. He was employed by the Ottawa Car Co between 1895 to 1898. By 1898 he was working in Montreal, Quebec. Mary Ann Gibson was his second wife. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Kelly) Gibson of Russell, Ontario. Harry and MaryAnn wed in 1888 and resided in 1891 at Russell. They had at least 3 children. Bessie (1893- 1907), Lillian L.(born 1896) and Egbert Lyon (1898-1977). Harry may have died about 1898, as he did not sign Egbert's baptismal records (Montreal), and the girls were raised by their grandmother and maternal aunt, Mrs Vernon Blodgett, (later Mrs Bayard Burton) of Hyde Park, Vermont, USA. Egbert raised a family with Beatrice at Detroit, Michigan. He may have family in Florida. Harry's widow, "Annie" ,died in 1933. She was the sister of Margaret, Mrs John Henry Elphick, of Montreal.
