What is the time frame of your gg grandfather John and his brother Tom? How about your ggrandfather Henry?
Your right about the Ada's there were plenty of ladies with that given name. I just thought it a very great conicidence that Elizabeth Jane would have had a niece by that name as well as bringing up another by that name. So maybe, this other Ada was from the Murphy side as first supposed.
This Ada that I know of married Mr. McFarland in 1896 and they moved to San Luis Obispo California in the early 1900's. It is thought they never had any children.
Anyway your Ada sounds much younger and obviosuly was married to someone else! So goes that theory!
