NORTH HAVERHILL-Gwendolyn R. Wells Edmands, 90, formerly of
Bristol, died Thursday at Grafton County Home after a period of failing health.
She was born in Penacook, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Morrill)
Rowe. She lived in Penacook before moving to Bristol in 1948. Edmands
worked in the food service department of Newfound Area School District
before retiring. Survivors include a daughter, Raymah Simpson of Bristol; a
brother, Denzil Rowe of Concord; two grandchildren, Brad Sargent of
Haverhill and Carrie Byberg of Bristol; two great-grandchildren; and nieces
and nephews. Her first husband, Perley Wells, and her second husband
Nathaniel Edmands, and a son, John Wells, all died previously. Calling hours
will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. at Emmons Funeral Home, 115 S.
Main St., Bristol. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bristol
Baptist Church, Summer Street, Bristol. Burial will be held in the spring at
Homeland Cemetery in Bristol. Memorial donations may be made to the
Alzheimer's Associatoin New Hampshire Chapter, 10 Ferry St., Ste. 427B,
Concord 03301; or Bristol Baptist Church, 30 Summer St., Bristol 03222.
