Judson Edie is my great grandfather and I grew up in the house you posted. Upon Judson's death in 1934, the farm passed to my grandmother Regina Edie Hutchens and her husband Leroy. When Leroy died in 1946, my grandmother asked my mother, Regina Hutchens Rowe, and my father Orville (Bill) Rowe to move in with her. At that time the farm had 96 acres. We lived there until 1964 at which time my aunt Bertha Hutchens Skellie and her husband Walter moved in with grandmother and my folks built a new home. Shortly after grandmother's death in 1970 the farm was sold.
Judson Edie had quite a history. He was President of the Greenwich Fire Insurance Co. for a number of years around the turn of the century and served as President of the First National Bank of Greenwich for many years. Somewhere in the mix he was elected Supervisor for the Town of Greenwich to serve on the Washington County Board of Supervisors.
.Asa Howard Edie and his wife Eva lived near Saranac, NY and had a wonderful camp on Silver Lake. Howard was the Chaplain for a local prison.
I am still looking for information on Mary Bryant.
