Hi Donna,
I just found your post from 2009. Are you're still searching? I believe we may be related.
I have the obituary you're looking for. Elizabeth Moore Engers Edburg was my great grandmother. The newspaper clipping also undated, doesn't give the date of her death however, my Aunt Elizabeth Engers provided it as April 29, 1955.
Her first husband, my great grandfather, William Engers, pre-deceased her (tuberculosis) and, her second husband George Edburg, as you've mentioned, died shortly after her in 1955. (Holy Cross Cemetary, Brooklyn, NY)
Elizabeth (Moore) Engers and William Engers had two sons. My grandfather, William E. Engers, and my Great Uncle James Sylvester Engers.
Elizabeth had six grandchildren; my late father, William E. Engers, my Aunt Elizabeth (BettyAnn) whom she was named after and raised by from the time she was four, my Uncle George Sylvester Engers and, my Uncle Syl's (James Sylvester Engers) three daughters, Jane, MaryAnn, and JoAnn.
My father, now deceased, William E. Engers (Jr.) had four children; of which I am one: William E. Engers, Donna Lynn Engers, Sandra Engers, and Jeffrey Glenn Engers.
My Aunt Betty thinks she may know and remember you and is anxious to hear back from this reply.
Sincerely,
Sandra
